A:  No. Congress unanimously passed a bill changing drug sentencing laws and Obama signed it. Callahan petitioned for early release under the new law and it was approved by a federal judge.

Q: Did President Trump cancel funding to build Barack Obama’s presidential library?

A: No. That story originated on a satirical news site. All presidential libraries have been constructed using private or non-federal funds.

Overstated Funding for Overseas Mosques

Q: Did the Obama administration spend $770 million restoring overseas mosques?

A: That claim is based on a misleading television news report about a 20-year funding project that ended well before Barack Obama became president.

Obama Didn’t Attend G-20 in 2017

Q: Did former President Barack Obama follow President Donald Trump to the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany?

A: No. That claim was made on websites that don’t “make any warranties” about the reliability of their information.

Q: Is the Federal Reserve putting former President Barack Obama on the $1 bill?

A: No. That claim comes from a recycled fake news story.

Trump Didn’t Bill the Obamas

Q: Did President Donald Trump send Barack Obama a bill for his “vacation scam”?
A: No. That bogus claim comes from a “satirical publication.”

No Obama Statue in the White House

Q: Did President Barack Obama commission a life-size bronze statue of himself to leave in the White House?

A: No. That fake news story was “intended for entertainment purposes only.”

Obama Didn’t Scrap Officers’ Memorial Day

Q: Did President Trump reinstate National Peace Officers Memorial Day?

A: No. That claim was made in a fake news story that also falsely said the annual memorial for fallen officers was canceled by former President Obama.

Obama on Childhood Obesity Rates

Former President Barack Obama falsely claimed that Let’s Move, an initiative of former First Lady Michelle Obama, “helped bring down America’s obesity rates for our youngest kids for the first time in 30 years.”

Did Democrats Once Support Border Wall?

White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney made an apples-to-oranges comparison when he said he couldn’t understand why Democrats opposed supplemental funding for a border wall since many of them were for it back in 2006.
